Our narrowboats are built very much to your own specification; you
choose the size and specification from a huge choice of our standard options.

We build quality as standard with all our narrowboats being built to the European Recreational Craft Directive and The British Waterways Code of Practice.

Our standard STERN Options:

Traditional - (commonly referred to as 'Trad') incorporates an area at the rear deck of the boat for the helmsman to stand and steer the boat. The design dates back to the early days of canal barges being used for carrying goods. The deck is usually between 1m and 1.25m long and the Trad stern is usually rounded. A popular choice amongst enthusiasts.

Semi Traditional - (commonly referred to as Semi-Trad) a sociable version of the traditional narrowboat allowing for passengers to sit alongside the helmsman as the aft deck is much longer to accommodate between 2 and 6 people. The Semi-trad stern is usually rounded and the engine is usually mounted under the deck with accessibility to it by lifting a section of the decking.

Cruiser - a popular choice for the private narrowboat and for hire boats, the
Cruiser provides a leisure deck at the rear of the boat with optional seating and an
area for deck chairs – a great additional feature for long summer evenings.
